About Us

MISSION STATEMENT

In June of 2001 Frank Sadeghi and Albert M. Cerone discussed the formation of an organization which would provide members an opportunity to become acquainted with other business and professional people. The purpose was to foster the business of its members but with an emphasis on assisting the membership in understanding the significance and impact of external events upon the business community and the individual businesses of the members. Also to provide a centralized place for assistance as the expertise and experience of the members is invaluable. The formula for this association was elusive. The fear was that it may become just more of the same like so many other business organizations. It was decided that other minds were needed who shared the views of the two organizers. Hence, Jim Gluck, Esq., Bob Novy, Esq., Juan Bellu, CPA and Carmine Inteso were approached and their input was invaluable. Nearly 6 months of planning and writing and discussion finally brought the concept to fruition. The formulation of the association hierarchy and the constitution are a result of the vast experience each of the 6 founders had attained over the years with other professional and business organizations. The pitfalls of each became the focus so as not to repeat them. The result is that we proudly present as the SHORE PROFESSIONAL BUSINESS ASSOCIATION, an association of accomplished professional and business people who believe in sharing and growth.

As just stated the primary goal of the association is to assist its members in “growing their respective businesses”. The satisfaction of the membership lies in the success of this pointed and simple aspiration. Each member must see the association as a viable platform for business growth. There are businesses which can not enjoy a repetitive flow of referrals or interassociation business opportunities, therefore we must provide other reasons for them to maintain membership in the SPBA. It is too easy to say that these people are better served by resigning from the association. Resignations are a proof of the association’s failure to satisfy a resigning member’s needs. We must put forth every effort to retain our membership, which includes those which do not weekly, monthly or even annually receive a business opportunity from or through another member……..” This presents the need for a multi-faceted purpose for the Shore Professional Business Association. It must be an information center and a place at which free exchange of ideas is of utmost importance. A long time saying is, “Growth Through Knowledge” is still valid. We shall have an exchange of business ideas and methodologies from which we can all learn. Speakers addressing important local, national and international occurrences, as well as those who can address business practices and cultural aspects of our lives shall be sought.

We shall have our own members speak to the group, as each has earned the right to be considered an expert in their own field. Not only do we become more understanding and informed of their businesses and professions but we may recognize how vital their abilities may be to us on either a personal and / or business level. With these attitudes and methodologies we believe success of the SPBA and each of the members is insured.
